A Little Comp

Ok so I'm sat here on a Saturday afternoon working on a new PTU kit, but I've hit a slight problem......I don't know what to call it :(

I've done the papers and some elements and need to make a few more but I need a name for this little baby

So I got to thinking.....I'll run a little (and short sorry) competition. You have to name the kit, the name I think suits the kit best will win.

The prize will be this new kit (before it hits the stores) for free :)

Now I don't want to show you everything that I have made so far, so I'm going to show a few papers and the colour palette I am using.
Please email your answers to fisfaultscraps@inbox.com with the subject Kit Comp
Please use this subject line or my filter won't pick up your entry.

Oh yeah you can enter up to 5 suggestions :)

Comp will close Sunday at 9pm GMT. I will contact the winner via email and send them the kit, I will also announce here also.

So what are you waiting for??????????

My New Tattoo

Today was my long awaited (ok only 2 weeks) appointment with Lee the tattoo-ist. While on holiday in Spain, I decided I wanted another a tattoo, Dave went to see someone over there about having a new one himself and when he told me how much I decided to wait till I came home and to see Lee, not only has he done 2 of my other tattoo's but he's reputable :) and I trust him.

So today I went in to have my tattoo. I knew exactly what I wanted, a D on my left ankle, not too fancy but not too plain either
And here it is :)

I originally wanted the tattoo further down and kinda behind my ankle (if you know what I mean) but putting it there would have meant it had to be alot smaller and wouldn't be quite so clear. So we decided to put it a little further up.

I love it but unfortnatly my hubby isn't so keen, he thinks it's too big and too high up.....I think it looks kinda lonely sat there on its own, so I've decided once it's healed I'm going to go back in and see about having some little flowers put round it

Here it is :)

While I'm here I thought I'd share some pics of my other tattoo's :)

This one is my 4 kids initials interlocked. I designed this one myself and Lee brought my design to life

Anyone who's a fan of Gorjuss artwork will recognise this little flutter :)
He sits on my left shoulder and is ever so delicate and pale. Just how I wanted him. He also appears on Gorjuss' site under her fan art page. *think I might check some of Soozy's flowers to go round my D*

I have a flying pig on my right shoulder but no pic's of him :(

Summer Holidays & New Kit

With the summer holidays now upon us, I haven't got as much time to spend on the pc. I think between now and September when my monsters go back to school I won't be sharing as much :(

My mojo isn't being very co-operative either, so maybe a few more weeks break will do me some good in the long run.

I submitted a new kit to AMI yesterday so you should be able to grab that soon :) It's taken me a while to finish this but I finally got it completed yesterday, zipped and sent off to the boss ladies at AMI

It's called Caffe Latte, the colours just remind me of coffee and coffee shops, although I seem to have missed the green from Starbucks (my fav coffee shop) lol

The kit includes:

10 Papers
12 Frames
11 Bows
4 Boxes
5 Brads
2 Dragonflies
9 Flowers
3 Heart Charms
3 Paperclips with Flower toppers
5 Pretty Flutters
4 Ribbons
5 Satin Ribbon Flowers and
2 Alpha's (upper & numbers only)

Officially Mojo'd OUT!

Yep I'm officially mojo'd out, sad really but it seems my mojo has seen fit to take it's own summer vacation and leave me behind!. Who'd have thought it, I take it on a lovely 2 week break to Spain, where for 2 weeks I didn't think about PSP, PS, Scraps or tags. So you'd think upon our return he'd be raring to go after having a break, but oh no he's taken leave!!!

I've sat for days looking at different colour palettes and NOTHING, NADA, ZIP!

I wrote 2 new tuts (yes I know I only posted about one *bad Fi* slaps own hand) but thats it. I just can't seem to muster anything. Everything I have 'attempted' (and I use that word loosely) has ended up with the red x button being pressed within 10 minutes as I don't like what I've done :(

Part of me wonders if he's (my mojo) sulking, hubby treated us all (well himself, me and our 14yr old) to Rock Band on the xbox 360....and OMG how addicting (and fun) is that game. We have several bands we've created mainly because we keep changing between what instrument we want to play. I tend to stick to playing either guitar or bass, but last night I tried my hand at singing...not an easy feat especially when suffering from a chest infection and cold which meant I couldn't hold the long notes :( We've decided to give it a break for tonight and give our poor neighbours a night off from our terrible singing. It is great fun, although a bit on he expensive side here in the UK. Great all round family entertainment :)

So back to my mojo problem, he's either taken himself off on vacation or is sulking somewhere at not being allowed to play due to my playing rock band...either way it may be a while until you see something new from me. I hope not too long but you know what these mojo's are like...they go awol until they want to play

Here's a sample of my other new tut (might as well post while I'm here lol)
Click the preview for a larger view and if you fancy trying it yourself, you can find on my tut site
Fi's Fault the tut is called Go Ahead...Make My Day

You can find my 3 newest kits (mummy, lighter side of goth & summer fresh) at Poisoned Princess.

Thanks to Angie and Mel for all their help and for getting my kits up super fast *thanks girls you rock!!*

My mojo seems to have stayed in Spain, enjoying the sun no doubt lol. I sat for most of the day yesterday with PS & PSP open but was unable to come up with anything I liked. I have some errands to run today and want to nip and see my tattoo-ist about getting another tattoo :)

Hopefully I'll have something new for you soon :)

I'm Back

We landed back on English turf a little after 2pm yesterday and arrived home about an hour later. I'm slowly plodding through all my emails and trying to get myself back to normal....if you have emailed me in the last 2 weeks please bare with me I will get back to you.
Spain was lovely, we all had a wonderful time, but it's so good to be home and was heaven to sleep in our own beds last night :)

Hopefully my brain has refreshed and I can get creative again soon

I've Been Tagged (again)

I've been tagged again by Momma over at Momma's Creations - thanks Sharon *insert raspberry blowing smiley* lol

But as I've already played I'm gonna skip playing again, mainly because it's not even 8am and there's no way I can think of another 7 random facts about myself lol...... I struggled first time round

If anyone hasn't been tagged and wants tagging feel free to leave me a message and I'll gladly tag you

On a side note, I should have another new kit at some point today.... I just need to add a few more elements to it and it'll be done :)

Woo Hoo

It let me login (at last) I've been trying since last night to login so I could update the ME picture with a real picture of me and not my commission and now I've finally managed to change it - only taken about 13 or so hours lol

I'm working on a couple of new kits at the moment, I want to try and get at least 1 freebie, 1 at AMI and 1 at Digital Chaos before I go away in 12 days....so need to get my finger out
The hopefully the holiday will refresh my brain and give me some new inspiration for kits on my return :)

Little Additions

I added a few little additions to my blog today..........

If you have your speakers turned on then you've probably already noticed the music, I apologise if it made you jump. Scroll to the bottom of the page to turn the music off ;)

I also added a neo works flag thingie-me-bob. I only added it this morning and already I can see I've had visitors from all over the world - which is fabby
Previous to this I only had my stat counter so I know how many visitors I'd had but now I can see where you all hail from and thats wonderful. Maybe it's time I learnt to say hello in some of your native languages....if anyone has spare 5 mins please drop me an email telling me hello on your language :) you can find my email on the right over there ---->

Back to the music playing....I thought I'd give you a little insight into why I choose these particular songs :)

Rockstar by Nickelback
I just love the lyrics to this song and I think most of would love a house in the Hollywood hills

Here I Go Again by Whitesnake
I was born in '76 and I love my rock tunes, this one is just one of many I could have added but I plumped for this one mainly as it's on my playlist in itunes lol

Bohemian Like You by The Dandy Warholes
This was one of the songs hubby went through a phase of singing and it always brings a smile to my face

How You Remind Me & Hero by Nickelback
Just another 2 tunes I like :)

Surrender by Cheap Trick, Strutter by Kiss, Dead by My Chemical Romance & Cherry Pie by Warrant
What can I say I LOVE GUITAR HERO II lol

Love It When You Call by The Feeling
Just an all round bouncy tune :) I also have this for my ringtone on my cell phone lol I am a huge fan of The Feeling. Am gutted that I never got tickets to Bon Jovi (another huge love of mine) as The Feeling are supporting them on their tour :(

Bitter Wine & Social Disease by Bon Jovi
As I said before I love Bon Jovi and these are just 2 songs picked at random :)

So there you g a little insight into me and my music tastes.

The Bean Story

A few weeks ago Georgie came home with a bean from school, barely propped up by a bamboo cane and looking very sad for itself. Her class had been growing beans, Georgie grew a runner bean, although in all honesty it wasn't running anywhere. It may have been the tallest in her class but it needed repotting and some serious TLC.
I popped it in the porch at home, which is glass so kinda like a greenhouse. I watered it and gave it some miracle grow to help it on its way.

Now at this point I must confess I am not in any way green fingered, I'm more than useless when it comes to plants and flowers. I like them, they look pretty, they make my garden look pretty but after that I'm lost.

Needless to say within a few days the bean was looking slightly worse for wear. I sprayed it with water, watered it and gave it some more miracle grow, but it was a sad state of affairs and the bean Georgie had so lovingly grown from a bean/seed (whatever it started as) was almost dead :(

My mum came the other day and on her way out took our almost dead bean away with her. My mum aka nana heart is the exact opposite of me. She is brilliant with plants and flowers and said she could rescue the poor bean that I had neglected.
She came round again today and told me the bean was doing alot better :) and I demanded (as children do lol) that she add a bean update to her blog......which has now :)

So you can read more about our bean and even see a picture over on her blog HERE

Who knows maybe next year we can eat the beans of Georgie and my mums labours :)

General-ness

General-ness....is that really a word or is it just a word in the world of Fi?

Today has been one of those so/so days. We fly out for our summer hols in 15 big sleeps (thats how my kids are counting the days lol) and I'm not excited yet. I've never left the UK, well unless you class Eire and when I went you didn't need a passport! So anyway, you'd think I'd be really excited about our hols (we're off to sunny spain btw) but I'm not. Last week I was panicing about the flight, but that doesn't seem to be bothering me too much now....I'm just null and void of any emotion or feelings where this holiday is concerned. Mmmmm guess that just proves I am a complete nutter lol

I'm looking forward to it in a way, this is not only my first trip abroad, but also the first trip abraod for my kids and our first proper family holiday. The last holiday we had was to Cornwall in 2003 before Jak & Emma were born! It was meant to be just me, my mum and Georgie, but we ended up it hubby and my eldest coming along for the ride too (and a long ride it is to Cornwall)

If nothing else it gives me a chance to really air my new digi camera and use up some of the 2gig memory card Dave bought for it

The freebie kit I am working on is coming along nicely, still needs a few more things adding to it, but at the moment I'm stuck for what it needs.....I'm hoping that when I wake up tomorrow I'll have worked out what it needs and be able to finish and post it

I finished the kit I was working on for AMI, but was a little too late submitting it, so I missed this weeks release, but never mind. It will be out next week instead :) maybe before, I guess it depends on how busy the lovely boss ladies are over there.

This kit didn't turn out quite how I imagined in my minds eye, but I'm really pleased with the results. I think the colours compliment each other beautifully.
I'll be sure to let you all kno when this goes on sale.

Don't know if I mentioned it (and I'm too lazy to go back and check my own posts lol) but AMI has 20% off ALL scrap kits throughout this month....so you can really grab a bargain or 2 or 3 lol
